PreparePDF (“PreparePDF”, “we”, “us”), Miami, Florida, USA runs preparepdf.com. This policy explains what we collect and why.
Your documents stay on your device
PreparePDF processes your PDFs and photos entirely inside your web browser. Your files are never uploaded to our servers, and we never see their contents.
What we collect
- Email address, if you sign in or buy Pro, to send sign-in links and to link your subscription.
- Subscription details from Stripe: customer ID, plan, status and renewal date. Stripe handles your card; we never see or store card numbers.
- A random device identifier, stored in a cookie and in your browser's storage, and the dates you finished free documents, so the free plan's weekly limit works without an account.
- Server logs kept by our host (IP address, browser type, pages requested), used for security and to fix problems.
Cookies
We use two cookies that are needed for the Service: a sign-in session cookie and the device identifier above. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Service providers
- Stripe, for payments and billing (Stripe Privacy Policy).
- Our web host, which runs our server and sends our emails.
- Google Fonts and cdnjs (Cloudflare), which deliver the fonts and PDF libraries your browser loads; they receive your IP address as part of that request.
We don't sell or rent your personal information.
How long we keep it
Account and subscription records are kept while you have an account and as long as tax and accounting rules require afterwards. Free-plan usage records are deleted after 30 days. Sign-in links expire after 30 minutes.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop emailing you, by writing to support@preparepdf.com. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have more rights under local law, and we'll honor them.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We'll post updates here and change the date above. For important changes we'll also email Pro customers.
